Accelerated Animation of Liquid Splash

چکیده
We present a method for simulation and visualization of a liquid splash motion. The proposed system is composed of a computational fluid dynamics and a polygon based renderer using multi texturing graphical acceleration. The system well supports the NavierStokes solver with adaptive time step and viscosity. The final liquid surface is obtained from the velocity field by rough estimation of the surface and then subdividing the surface. Rendering of the surface is performed by multi texturing method using the caustics, reflection, liquid and object textures.

Rendering of Water Splash
We propose a simple method for rendering water splashes occurring on object's surface. Based on the result of having analyzed movies which recorded experiments of dropping waterdrops, we create three types of models of the water splash. The proposed method allows us to do the followings; (1) Generation of the water splash for which the material and the wetting condition of the waterdrop-landing...
متن کاملHumans predict liquid dynamics using probabilistic simulation
Liquids can splash, squirt, gush, slosh, soak, drip, drain, trickle, pool, and be poured–complex behaviors that we can easily distinguish, imagine, describe, and, crucially, predict, despite tremendous diversity among different liquids’ material and dynamical characteristics. This proficiency suggests the brain has a sophisticated cognitive mechanism for reasoning about liquids, yet to date the...
متن کاملLiquid Splash Modeling with Neural Networks
This paper proposes a new data-driven approach for modeling detailed splashes for liquid simulations with neural networks. Our model learns to generate small-scale splash detail for uid-implicit-particle methods using training data acquired from physically accurate, high-resolution simulations. We use neural networks to model the regression of splash formation using a classi er together with a ...

We studied splashing on both smooth and rough dry surfaces using high speed photography. For smooth substrates, a striking phenomenon is observed: splashing can be completely suppressed by decreasing the pressure of the surrounding gas. The threshold pressure where a splash first occurs is measured as a function of the impact velocity and found to depend on the molecular weight of the gas and t...
متن کاملDynamic Simulation of Human Diving and Splashing Fluids
SUMMARY Physically based simulation of 10 meter platform dives from the initial stance of a human diver to the splash at water entry. A dynamic model and control system are used to generate the motion of the diver. The dynamics of incompressible fluids and particle systems are combined to produce the splash.
